Saints vs. Raiders: Best bets for Monday Night Football

The New Orleans Saints and Las Vegas Raiders are set to square off on Monday Night Football in the first game ever played in Allegiant Stadium.

Here are my best bets for the Week 2 matchup.

Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook as of September 21, 2020.

Saints (-4)

Emotions will be high for the Raiders with this being their inaugural game at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Still, they aren’t in the same class as the Saints, even with All-Pro wide receiver Michael Thomas sitting this one out. Look for the Saints to win by a touchdown or more.

Drew Brees over 23.5 completions (-106)

In 2019, Brees had 24 or more completions in eight out of his 11 starts. His top target will be out, but with the Raiders’ secondary issues, I am expecting Brees to finish the game with 25+ completed passes.

Latavius Murray over 8.5 rushing attempts (+106)

No Michael Thomas likely means more work for Murray and Alvin Kamara. And if the Saints jump out to a lead as expected, it will only increase the likelihood of an increased workload for Murray.

Josh Jacobs over 16.5 rushing attempts (-121)

Jacobs was a star in Week 1. The Raiders would be fools to not feed the second-year pro early and often on Monday night.

Darren Waller over 4.5 receptions (-104)

Waller has a great rapport with quarterback Derek Carr, and is a matchup nightmare for basically every defense in the league. If the Raiders want to keep this game close, they’ll need to target Waller as often as possible.
