After months of buildup, the 2020 NFL season is now in full swing.

With over a quarter of the season in the books, we’ve seen the contenders begin to separate themselves from the rest of the pretenders.

Here are my best bets heading into the Week 6 slate of games.

Season record: 18-13-1

Odds via BetMGM as of October 16, 2020.

Pittsburgh Steelers (-3.5)

The Steelers Week 6 matchup with the Browns looks like must-see TV for all football fans. Unfortunately for Cleveland, the injury/illness bug has hit pretty hard in recent weeks.

While the game should be very, very entertaining, I like the Steelers by six points here.

Miami Dolphins (-9.5)

I didn’t do the research on this, but it has to have been at least five years since the Dolphins were expected to win a game by double digits. As weird as it seems to see a number this big for Miami, don’t overthink it. The Dolphins should roll through the Jets and comfortably win by two touchdowns.

Packers/Buccaneers over 53.5 points

The Packers have been nearly unstoppable and the Bucs have looked noticeably better offensively in recent weeks. Expect that trend to continue with a classic Aaron Rodgers vs. Tom Brady duel taking place in this one.

All said, I believe this point total should be closer to 60. Bet this number before it moves higher.

Baltimore Ravens (-7.5)

I like the Ravens big over the Eagles in Week 6. This is a game I could see ending up in the 33-10 range in favor of Baltimore.

Expect to see this spread get bigger as Sunday approaches.

Houston Texans (+4)

The Titans were flat-out impressive in their Tuesday night win over the Buffalo Bills, but the Texans looked like a whole new team without Bill O’Brien calling the shots.

Tennessee may ultimately win this one, but I like Deshaun Watson to keep the Texans within a field goal when it’s all said and done.

Los Angeles Rams (-3)

The Rams are no longer one of the elite teams in the NFC, but the 49ers have simply been crushed by injuries in 2020. I am expecting a better performance out San Francisco than what we saw in Week 5 (a 43-17 loss to the Dolphins), but it won’t be enough to beat the Rams.

L.A. by a touchdown in this one.

Cardinals/Cowboys over 55 points

This game should be an offensive shootout — even without Dak Prescott under center for Dallas. Look for Kyler Murray, DeAndre Hopkins, and the Arizona air raid attack to have a heyday against the Cowboys porous defense. Likewise, Andy Dalton should have plenty of success in his first start for America’s Team.

Hammer the over.
