Like a mountain man surviving the dark months of winter, us gamblers have to dive deep into the root cellar to sustain us through the quarantine.

Luckily for us, Major League Eating is planning to host a 2-pound Bologna Slice eating competition on April 17th via their youtube channel. It is the first event of the “Quarantine Eating Challenge”.

Friday’s Bologna action is slated for 7:00 p.m. EST and will feature a “who’s who” of competitive eating.

Betonline.ag odds to win:

  • Joey Chestnut: +100
  • Matt Stonie: +400
  • Darron Breeden: +500
  • Gideon Oji: +600
  • Miko Sudo: +1000
  • Michelle Lesco: +1200
  • Nick Wehry: +1200
  • Eric Booker: +2000

Competitive eating is not my bread and butter. However, it should be noted that Joey Chestnut is a household name. Chestnut is considered to be the Michael Jordon of the eating world. Matt Stonie is no slouch himself. Watch this video of Stonie absorbing five Chipotle burritos in under four minutes — that was not a typo.

Several prop bets are also available through BetOnline.ag for users to place their money on. Some of my favorites include:

Competitive Eating Round One Faster Time

  • Joey Chesnut (-300)
  • Matt Stonie (+240)

Will Anyone Vomit?

  • No (-1600)
  • Yes (+800)

Slowest Time to Complete Round 1

  • Over 89 Seconds (-115)
  • Under 89 Seconds (-115)

Make sure to mark your calendars and call your bookies. Or better yet, log on to BetOnline and open an account, because this will hopefully scratch your gambling itch for the the time being. I will personally be coordinating a zoom session with my degenerates to watch the BPM’s (Bologna Per Minute) and hopefully take home some scratch.

Good luck and remember to always bet on yourself.
