As weird as this may sound, Tom Brady is now the starting quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

A big part of what attracted Brady to Tampa Bay was the opportunity to play in Bruce Arians’ high-octane offense that features arguably the best group of pass catchers in the National Football League (wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, and tight ends O.J. Howard and Cameron Brate). With that being the case, it’s reasonable to assume that Brady will have one of the better statistical seasons of his already legendary career in 2020.

The oddsmakers at BetOnline have officially weighed-in on the situation. Here’s how they see Brady performing in his first season in a Buccaneers uniform.

Odds courtesy of BetOnline.ag as of March 29, 2020.

Total Passing Yards

  • Over 4,350 yards (-125)
  • Under 4,350 yards (-105)

Jameis Winston led the league in this category in 2019. The oddsmakers are actually expecting Brady to fare significantly worse.

Personally, I’d bet the over.

Total Passing Touchdowns

  • Over 32.5 touchdowns (+100)
  • Under 32.5 touchdowns (-130)

This number seems about right. The under is favored, but I also like the over here.

Total Interceptions

  • Over 10.5 interceptions (-115)
  • Under 10.5 interceptions (-115)

Brady has always been great when it comes to taking care of the ball. But with the frequency that Tampa Bay throws the ball, I expect him to throw 11 or more interceptions in 2020.

Total Regular Season Wins

  • Over 9 wins (-125)
  • Under 9 wins (+105)

After a quick glance at the Buccaneers’ schedule, I see them going 10-6 in 2020.

Odds To Win The NFC South

  • Saints (-125)
  • Buccaneers (+200)
  • Falcons (+600)
  • Panthers (+1200)

The Saints are the team to beat, but the Bucs and Falcons aren’t far behind. This will be in interesting division to watch this fall.

Odds To Win NFC Championship

  • 49ers (+450)
  • Saints (+550)
  • Buccaneers (+800)

The only teams with better odds to win the NFC are the 49ers and Saints. The oddsmakers might be giving Brady a little too much credit here.

Odds to Win Super Bowl LV

  • Chiefs (+650)
  • Ravens (+800)
  • 49ers (+1100)
  • Saints (+1600)
  • Buccaneers (+1600)

With one signing, the Buccaneers went from extreme longshot to top Super Bowl contender. In all honesty, there isn’t much value in Tampa Bay at 16/1.
