Betting odds to win NFL Comeback Player of the Year

In 2019, several big-name NFL players suffered significant injuries. For some, it was the end of the line. For others, the 2020 season will offer the chance to inspire others by fighting back to regain their previous form.
Here are the betting odds to win the 2020 NFL Comeback Player of the Year award.
Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook as of May 27, 2020.
J.J. Watt (+500)
Watt has had some bad luck on the injury front throughout his Hall of Fame career, so he will have to stay healthy for the entire 2020 campaign to have a shot here. That said, the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year has been dominant literally anytime he has been on the field in his nine NFL seasons.
Rob Gronkowski (+450)
Unlike others on this list, Gronkowski isn’t coming off a significant injury. He will, however, have some rust to knock off this fall.
It didn’t take long for Gronkowski to come out of retirement once Tom Brady decided he was going to take his talents to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While Gronk and Brady have an undeniably strong rapport, there may simply be too many mouths to feed in Tampa Bay (Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and O.J. Howard) for the future Hall of Famer to post the kind of stats he’d need to take home this award.
Ben Roethlisberger (+250)
Big Ben is the favorite to take home this award, and it’s pretty easy to see why. Quarterback is the most valued and revered position in the game, and Roethlisberger is among the greatest to ever play. If he can lead the Steelers back to respectability and possibly a playoff spot, he will likely home the hardware here.
