The Tom Brady era is officially over for the New England Patriots.

As a result, the Pats are in the market for a starting quarterback for the first time in 20-plus years.

So, who are the leading candidates to replace the greatest quarterback in NFL history?

Here’s how the oddsmakers at BetOnline.ag see it.

Odds courtesy of BetOnline.ag as of March 17, 2020.

Jimmy Garoppolo +1000

Wouldn’t this be wild? It’s highly unlikely, but would make for a great storyline heading into the 2020 NFL season.

Derek Carr +600

The Raiders agreed to terms with free agent quarterback Marcus Mariota on Monday, but their plans for Carr going forward remain unclear. If Jon Gruden opts to go with Mariota (or possibly target a quarterback in the first round pick in the draft), Carr could prove to be the odd man out.

For the right price, Carr would likely look very appealing to the Pats.

Andy Dalton +350

Dalton’s run with in Cincinnati is all but over, but the Bengals still have the power to decide where they trade the nine-year NFL veteran.

The Patriots have been linked to Dalton for quite some time, and the former TCU standout just seems like a Belichick kind of guy.

Teddy Bridgewater +275

Bridgewater has been rumored to be heading to both the Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers since the league’s legal tampering period opened on Monday.

Unlike others on this list who would require a trade to acquire, Bridgewater is an unrestricted free agent. That said, he could get a little too pricey for Belichick and Co. given his current market.

If the Pats are committed to winning now, though, Bridgewater may be their best option.

Update: Bridgewater is finalizing a three-year, $60 million contract with the Panthers.

Jarrett Stidham +250

As of today, Stidham, a fourth-round pick in 2019, is the odds-on favorite to be Brady’s successor in New England. The former Auburn Tiger served as New England’s backup as a rookie in 2019, but he has only attempted four passes as a professional — one of which was picked off. Belichick and McDaniels are reportedly very high on Stidham, but there would undoubtedly be some growing pains involved if they opt to go this route.

  • Philip Rivers (+1400)
  • Nick Foles (+1400)
  • Jameis Winston (+2000)
  • Joe Flacco (+2500)
  • Cody Kessler (+3300)
